The world of poetry has never been alien to Magashegyi Underground: while they have earned recognition in the past fifteen years with catchy, distinctive radio hits, their programme has always included songs that set to music the verse of Lajos Parti-Nagy, Péter Závada or Anna Szabó T. A modest stream up to then, the literary line swelled into a river in 2018 when they set to the stage of Müpa Budapest with Krisztina Tóth. Titkos életem (My Secret Life), their 2020 album, was entirely based on the poems of the authoress; the LP version will be first available at the Margó Festival. Much to the delight of fans, the band returns, freshly energized after a year off, with a show that relies heavily on the arrangements of poems, though they will also perform some of their best-known songs.
This concert of the Liszt Fest is presented by Müpa Budapest as a joint event with Kultúrkombinát Kft.
